Criminal Doctor

Short Story.

Title: Criminal Doctor 

It was the month of Halloween. This year  Julie, Lucy and Eliza wished to celebrate in quite different way. The trio planned for a long night trip. They promised eachother not to trick anyone and treat everyone good. Lucy asked Eliza to take the medkit as Eliza is a pneumonia patient. The doctor has instructed to take medkit always with Eliza. Eliza stretched her hands to the attic to take medkit. Suddenly she felt a firm grasp on her hand from the attic. Eliza tried shouting out but her voice didn't reached Lucy in the kitchen. Eliza stumbled and fainted on the floor.Julie hears the whining of Eliza and rushes to the attic and sees Eliza lying on the floor unconsciously. Julie sprinkled bottle of water and Eliza slightly opened her eyes in panic. She is not fully conscious yet. Julie and Lucy decided to take Eliza to the  hospital located 3 KM away from their quaint home. They completely forgot about their night trip. The doctor took Eliza to the operation theater to treat wheezing. Lucy and Julie didn't had money on their hand  to pay the hospital bill. They went to ATM to withdraw money. Eliza was laying on operation theater and all of a sudden, the doctor strangled  the neck  of Eliza and aggressively poked the knife on her stomach and escaped. Eliza floated in blood in the darkness of night. Lucy in the ATM was withdrawing the money and  Julie was standing out. A mad man frantically ran towards her and shouted " Elizaaaaaa has been stabbed!! Help!! Help!!". Julie and Lucy were scared and dashed to the hospital. The morning rays fell on Eliza's cold body. Julie and Lucy mourned for the loss of their friend. Lucy and Julie decided to file complaint to Crime Investigation Department to find who the killer is.The investigators examined the victim's  body and the operation theater. A sharp knife with bloody stains was found under the table. The fingerprints of the doctor were taken. The officers found the criminal doctor in a den, located at the outskirts. The scene grew even more worse when the officers investigated him and the criminal stated that, " I killed her because she got consciousness and found me  hiding another victim's body whom I killed for money". The criminal doctor who killed Eliza as well as another victim tried to escape, and so the investigators  encountered him to the death. Eventually his companions also were put to death. People in the city were surprised when they saw in the breaking news that the criminal doctor who killed the two victim is the fugitive, who cheated money by getting loan from many in the city.  Few months later, the operation theater was renewed as it was severly damaged while the incident took place. In the end, though two people lost their lives and many lost their money, the city is now free from the worst criminal in the name of doctor. Lucy and Julie realized, Eliza is a super hero and they proudly bid adieu to their best friend.  But wait, who grabbed the hand of Eliza in the attic?

It was the same doctor who broke into the trio's home and when Eliza tried to climb down and call Lucy and Julie, he pushed her from the attic.
